Chris Lonsdale is Managing Director of Chris Lonsdale & Associates, a company established to catalyse breakthrough performance for individuals and senior teams.

The company's clients include AXA Insurance, AIA, The Coca-Cola Company, The City University of Hong Kong, DuPont, East-Asia Heller, Hayco, Hewlett-Packard, Ingersoll-Rand, Motorola, NFO Worldwide, Rockwell Automation, Seagram Asia-Pacific, Swire Beverages Ltd. and a number of international financial institutions and leading investment banks.

Mr. Lonsdale works with clients to induce organizational change, make mission-critical teams more effective, and help senior executives achieve peak performance goals. Chris has also developed a unique and integrated approach to learning that gives people the means to acquire language or complex technical knowledge in short periods of time. He works extensively with groups and individuals in South East Asia and Greater China.

His professional qualifications include a first class honours degree in psychology from the University of Canterbury, advanced certificates from the University of Hong Kong (Education) and Iowa State University (Accelerated Learning Methodology), and an expert trainer's qualification in NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming).

Chris' focus on business and communication is built on 20 years of experience in this field. In the early 1980s Chris declined a place at Harvard University in order to accept an invitation into the New Zealand-China Exchange Program and immerse himself in the language, culture, and nascent modernization of China. As a result, he is fluent in Mandarin and other Chinese dialects. After distinguishing himself with inter-cultural psychology, communications and language skills in China, Chris moved to Hong Kong where he worked for several years with one of the world's largest Public Relations consultancies.

From 1990 till the end of 1994, Chris was Managing Director of Permaculture Asia Ltd, a Hong Kong based consultancy he founded specializing in corporate environmental management. Permaculture focused on the change management (individual and organizational) required to put in place effective environmental initiatives. Clients included Cathay Pacific Airways, Gilman Business Systems and Inchcape Pacific.

In mid-1989, Chris was the Coordinator Hong Kong and China for a North Pole Expedition (ICEWALK) designed to raise awareness of critical environmental problems. In early 1990 he represented Hong Kong on an elephant-back ecological journey through India. Chris has translated a book of Chinese Folktales and is now writing a book expanding on his unique approach to learning.
